Transatlantic

I recently asked my friend, & wonderful photographer, Lexi if she would consider collaborating on a photo project with me. She said yes!

We will be choosing a prompt to work from & then each taking a photograph in response to it. For our first attempt, we decided upon this (print by pinwheeldesigns on etsy).

She knew this transition was not about becoming someone better, but about finally allowing herself to become who she'd always been.

I felt that this was a good starting point for our project as it sets the tone for ourselves, our blogs, and our photographs. One of the things I admire most about Lexi is her constant effort to find the truest version of herself & it is something that I've been thinking about a lot recently, too.

I'm aware that my first photograph isn't great, but I must admit that I was on a strict time limit (I have a yet untouched 2500 word essay that needs to be written in the next 6 hours). I'm hoping that this project will yield some better photographic results, as well as being a lot of fun.

You can see Lexi's photograph HERE.
