Scottish National Portrait Gallery (Glasgow)

Tom took our class to the Scottish National Portrait Gallery, just after it re-opened, so we could go to see the Romantic Camera exhibition & meet the curator. Plus, there were a few works on show which we'd been talking about in class!

Aside from a few pieces that caught my eye, I wasn't too overwhelmed with the exhibition. It's entirely possible that was down to how distracting everything else was. The great entrance hall was so nicely decorated for Christmas with a big tree & tinsel, the painted ceiling was wonderful, and as we began our exhibition tour, a choir started singing carols on the mezzanine. I think I was too overwhelmed by the Christmas spirit of it all to engage with it properly.
